RAP History

Who We Are
Rally Against Parkinson's (RAP) is a 501c3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization.  We support Rock Steady Boxing at Forest Hill Health + Fitness (FHHF), currently the only site in Harford County, Maryland, that offers this nationally certified program.  The gym provides the certified coaches and equipment, and makes the program available for free to participants.

How We Began
Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) and programs like it are proven to lessen the symptoms of PD.  RSB was inaugurated in 2016 at FHHF, and it grew from a mere eight participants to more than 130 in just three years. When program funding became questionable, these boxers wouldn't give in to intimidation. They fought back by creating Rally Against Parkinson's, an organization intended to maintain the success of Rock Steady Boxing and to be a resource for other PD wellness programs. From fundraising events to donations, the RAP board of directors is working to increase awareness and opportunities for people who have been touched by this debilitating disease.
